After I created my lovely Papaya Lighter Wash-Off Cleanser, lots of customers said they wanted the same thing for their body. So I went away and thought about how to make a really really hydrating but cleansing body wash product and came up with this.
With coconut, grapeseed and olive oils, this luxurious blend of oils washes your skin completely but leaves it feeling unbelievably soft and hydrated. The blend of essential oils is so fresh and uplifting, and I’ve created an aroma that is suitable for both men and women (and children). This body wash is like nothing you have used before and once you have tried it, you will never look back.
This is just for the skin on your body, not on your face.
Directions: for use in the bath or shower. Massage a small amount into the skin on your body whilst in the bath or shower; it will create a milky emulsion, then rinse off. Can also be used as a handwash.
Once you have washed, you can leave the lovely milky emulsion in the bath whilst you soak, so that you benefit from the soothing and hydrating oils.
You will not experience any skin tightness after using this product. Our skin should not feel tight and dry after washing: this means we have removed too much of our natural sebum and damages our skin This Body wash will clean you but leave you feeling moisturised.
Once out of the bath or shower, simply pat skin dry gently. You should be soft and moisturised but should you need a little more hydration, follow by applying one of my gorgeous organic body oils such as Calming Organic Body Oil or Organic Purity Rose Body Oil.
So why are these natural ingredients so good in a body wash?
Coconut Oil: naturally antibacterial and antifungal, an excellent skin moisturiser, it can penetrate skin better than many other oils. It also works well as a body wash as it disperses in water better than other oils. Coconut helps the skin naturally control its oil secretions and most importantly application of Coconut on the skin helps the skin quickly and naturally restore its pH level to 5.5 without blocking pores. Coconut oil contains vitamins A, B and E as well as phosphorus, calcium, iron, manganese and magnesium.
Olive Oil: rich in antioxidants, it has traditionally been used for its anti-ageing properties, lubricating the skin and improving elasticity and skin tone.
Castor Oil: naturally antiseptic, anti-fungal and antiviral it is very useful to help with infections such warts, boils, athletes foot and chronic itching. If you are producing a cream for cracked skin, Castor oil should form an integral part. Castor oil penetrates deep into the skin and helps to stimulate the production of Collagen and Elastin. Both Collagen and Elastin soften and hydrate the skin, which can delay the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Lavender Essential Oil: anti-inflammatory, cell-regenerating, calming and cooling for the skin.: balancing and normalising of body functions and emotions. Great for muscular aches and pains. aid a good nights sleep. Physchologically Lavender is soothing, balancing and calming and helps with mood swings and PMT. The calming properties will help induce relaxation and are therefore useful in meditation
May Chang Essential Oil: toning to the skin, whilst giving a sweet, citrus fragrance with fruity and floral undertones. It will have a stimulating and revitalising effect on the body, making it particularly useful when you are exhausted. It will lift your spirits when you are feeling low and tired.
Elemi Essential Oil: often used to deal with exhaustion, it has a wonderful clean, uplifting scent which is highly antiseptic, and gives a lovely unisex aroma to this blend.
